Description

The Northern Territory branch of the Library Association of Australia was formed on 16 February 1977. The Library Association of Australia changed it's name in 1988 to the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). In June 2001, following a restructure of ALIA, all divisions (including the Northern Territory branch) were dissolved and a group structure was developed. The Northern Territory branch split into two groups, Top End and Central Australia (later called Red Centre).
